Scope of Practice – Ontario Licensed Paralegal
As a Licensed Paralegal regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, I am authorized to provide legal services within the permitted scope as defined under the Law Society Act and associated regulations.
My scope of practice includes:
- Representing clients in Small Claims Court (claims up to $35,000)
- Representing clients before the Ontario Court of Justice under the Provincial Offences Act
- Handling matters before tribunals established under provincial or federal law, including:
- Landlord and Tenant Board
- Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
- Social Benefits Tribunal, and others
- Providing legal advice and preparing documents related to these matters
I do not provide legal services in family law, real estate, estate law, immigration, or criminal matters outside the permitted scope.
